KAPIDEX heals damage to the esophagus and keeps it from coming back
Clinical studies have shown that KAPIDEX not only relieves heartburn around the clock, but also heals damage (erosions) to the esophagus and keeps it from coming back. Individual results may vary.
Heartburn is a symptom related to acid reflux disease (ARD), and erosions of the esophagus can also be present. To learn more about ARD, see About Acid Reflux Disease.
KAPIDEX relieves heartburn
In fact, KAPIDEX can provide up to 24 hours of heartburn relief in many adults with acid reflux disease.
Take with or without food
Unlike some medicines, which should be taken on an empty stomach, you can take KAPIDEX with or without food. Capsules should be swallowed whole, or they can be opened, sprinkled on one tablespoon of applesauce, and swallowed right away. As with other medications, be sure to take KAPIDEX exactly as it was prescribed and for the full length of time.

Uses of KAPIDEX
Persistent heartburn two or more days a week, despite treatment and diet changes, could be acid reflux disease (ARD). Prescription KAPIDEX capsules are used in adults to treat heartburn related to ARD, to heal acid-related damage to the lining of the esophagus (called erosive esophagitis or EE), and to stop EE from coming back. Individual results may vary. Most damage (erosions) heals in 4–8 weeks.
Important Safety Information
KAPIDEX may not be right for everyone. You should not take KAPIDEX if you are allergic to KAPIDEX or any of its ingredients. Severe allergic reactions have been reported. Symptom relief does not rule out other serious stomach conditions.
